Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG)

The government adds 20% to your contributions, up to $500 per year per child (on $2,500 contributed), with a lifetime maximum of $7,200.

Additional CESG (for lower- and middle-income families)

The government may add 30% or 40% on the first $500 contributed each year.

Canada Learning Bond (CLB)

For eligible low-income families, the government deposits money into the RESP even if you don’t contribute.
